With a kitchen this good it would be a shame not to use it.

So we need provisions.

  • Little Prince Wine

    Little Prince Wine

Sometimes all you need is good wine. You will find that directly opposite your front door.

But they have other things as well, and really delicious ones, like pastries, cheeses and small goods.

  • St Kilda Farmers Market

    St Kilda Farmers' Market

The first Saturday of every month is the St Kilda Farmers’ Market.

Most of the stall holders are single farm operators where they pick their own produce and bring it straight to the market.

There is a shopping trolley hanging in the laundry ready for your famers’ market outing.

  • Meatsmith

St Kilda Beachfront Penthouse has a BBQ with the best view in Melbourne. So if you are going to use it, and you’re not a vegan, you should put the best quality meat on it.

If you like chilli the Pork & Fennel Sausages will make you rethink what a sausage can be.

  • Maria & Con

If you need milk, some sparkling water or have an understandable weakness for Smiths Salt and Vinegar chips then just down stairs mother and son duo Maria and Con have you covered.

  • Woodfrog Bakery

This small shop on Barkley Street does really very tasty bread and pastries.

My top two are the pumpkin loaf and blueberry danish.

  • Supermarkets

There are three good supermarkets within a short walk of your apartment.

A small Woolworths heading up Fitzroy Street and a full size Woolworths and Coles on Acland Street.

Kathryn and I have been living in St Kilda for more than 10 years, we think it is the best suburb in Melbourne.
